You have always done very well in school. Top of your class. You have the new teacher for math, Miss Ava. She comes very highly recommended by her previous students. She has a reputation of fostering growth in her class.
It is unbelievable! You are already in deep trouble. You are getting off to a very rocky start, young man. You seem very distracted! You refused to stand in front of the class at the chalkboard to work on the math problem. You are not taking notes. When Miss Ava walked over to your desk, bent over to help you with a math problem, all you did was blush. You would not even look her in the eyes. Your eyes seemed to be focused on something else. Your hand is always in your lap. You walk out of class with your notebook covering your lap while Miss Ava was trying to have you stay after class for some extra help.
Oh my! You are going to have a very hard time in math class, young man!
